NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO (March 10,
2009) - Former Pro Modified Racing Association Champion Joe Boniferro is
looking forward to the 2009 racing season. Changes made over the winter should see the Niagara Falls, ON
based racer in a position to regain the title he won in 2006.
|
The first step towards that goal is the unveiling of
a new look and marketing partner at this weekend’s Kicker Car Audio Performance World show in
Toronto.
The show traditionally signals that the start of the
racing season in Canada is only five or six weeks away. An excited Boniferro elaborated, "We are
looking forward to this season with much anticipation, things just started falling in place towards
the end of last year and the unveiling of our new look is the first step on that ladder. Our new
marketing partner is new to Canada and we are honored to be chosen to represent them."

They already have a presence in NHRA competition and with us running
in the PMRA and selected IHRA national events they will now gain exposure in Canada and the Northern States. Our
first event in the new colors will be the PMRA Victoria Day Challenge at Cayuga Dragway in May but we hope to test
before then. This is an exciting time for the Smokin’ Joe’s team, we know the competition will be tough and look
forward to the challenge."
When Boniferro talks about new colors, he is not joking, the new
paint scheme is about as far away from the previous colors used by Boniferro as you could get. The Smokin’ Joe’s
Racing team will unveil the new look and sponsor at 10:30 a.m. on Friday in the front hall of the Kicker Car Audio
Performance World show.
All media outlets, fans and fellow racers are invited to the event.
Look for a follow up press release on Friday evening.
