NOCO Energy heats up 2009 TNT Super Series May 8th opener!

Local fuel company energizes 2009 TNT kickoff event at DTRP

TONAWANDA, NEW YORK (March 25, 2009)  The Joe's Transmission TNT Hot Rod Super Series is pleased to announce NOCO ENERGY will present the first event of the 2009 season.  Dunn Tire Raceway Park will launch the 2009 TNT points chase - including the 'new for 2009' Specialty Awards - on VIP Night, Friday May 8th.  "The TNT Series offers an affordable bridge between drag racing enthusiast and large energy companies like NOCO to reach the buying public" said Dan Flanigan, Energy Consultant for NOCO ENERGY.  "With the wide reach of NOCO in both Western New York (WNY) and Southern Ontario, we're speaking directly to end users".

The TNT Series expanded to twelve races this year and it relies on presenting sponsors like NOCO to make sure things like its guaranteed payouts can happen according to Ted Barnes, TNT Series Director.  "We're very excited to partner with a company as established as NOCO.  Their roots in the community and their continuous support of racing in Western New York and Southern Ontario is second to none."

Jim Flanigan (Dan's brother) from Holland, New York has been competing in the Joe's Transmission TNT Hot Rod Super Series since its inception in late 2006.  Look for Jim and his 1984 NOCO Corvette at all the 2009 TNT Series events.

The Joe’s Transmission TNT Hot Rod Super Series is based on NHRA’s Super Street & IHRA’s Hot Rod classes.  The twelve event series runs on a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile (7.00 in the 1/8 mile), guarantees a minimum of $500 for an event win, pays round money for EVERY round win, has contingency sponsors and offers lucrative yearend rewards.  There are only two exceptions to the rulebook - no weight minimum and left-hand drive open-bodied cars are allowed.
